Via targeted scenarios the "feel good factor" of passengers can be influenced, for example with special daylight scenarios to help you sleep or avoid jetlag. Traditionally, fluorescent tubes were used in aircrafts and nowadays LED light is the new trend. But modern LED technology has its downsides as well.
Standard LED systems have problems with homogeneous color representation. Aging, heat or even the implementation of LEDs from different manufacturers lead to a visible variation of the accurate reproduction of colors. Especially when a system works with many LEDs in a row, color deviations can be seen after prolonged operation. This tarnishes the "feel good factor" when flying. Conventional lighting control systems cannot really cope with this problem.
SCHOTT has gone innovative ways with the HelioJet SpectrumCC. Along with the True Color sensors from MAZeT GmbH, the color light reproduction of all LEDs is permanently monitored and can be exactly matched. The sensor sensitivity is based on the perception of the human eye - so the result is as close to reality as possible. Once the LEDs show a different color value, it is detected by the system and can be repaired directly via an intelligent drive control.
Therefore HelioJet SpectrumCC is very energy efficient and durable. Ongoing costs such as maintenance or the exchange of lights can be minimized. And even more important: tourists and travelers above the clouds can sit back and relax.
